To celebrate National Child Day on November 20th, I was very pleased to welcome two child advocates to the show this weekend. In my interview with Kathy Vandergrift, from the Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children, we discuss what National Child Day is about and how Canada is fairing in terms of children’s rights.
It was also an honour to chat with BC’s Representative for Children and Youth, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond. She shares some experiences of her recently renewed role and gives us a glimpse into a day in the life as a child advocate.
